Withdraw from a class or all classes (Summerville Campus Only)

A withdrawal form is used to withdraw from a class or all classes at GRU Summerville Campus, after the schedule adjustment period has ended. The official withdrawal date is the date the form is received in the Registrar's Office. Refunds are only processed for full withdrawals from all classes. Athletes must obtain the signature of the Athletic Director. International students must notify the school/Gina Thurman (706)667-4997 when withdrawing below fulltime. To receive a "W" the withdrawal form must be completed and turned into the Registrar's Office prior to the close of business on midterm. After midterm normally a student will be assigned a "WF". A grade of "W" may be assigned under certain circumstances. Please answer all questions on the form to help expedite the withdrawal process. *Students enrolled in both Learning Support and credit courses may not withdraw or be withdrawn from a Learning Support course unless they also withdraw or are withdrawn from all credit courses.

Step 1: Fill out withdrawal form and sign
Step 2: Obtain the instructor/chairperson's signature from the department of the course being withdrawn. Instructors must indicate the last date of attendance on the withdrawal form.
Step 3: Students who receive financial aid of any kind (Grants, Hope, Loans, Scholarships etc.) must have the Financial Aid Office stamp the withdrawal form, after the instructor/chairperson has signed the form.
Step 4: Return completed withdrawal form into the Registrar's Office.
