Military-friendly school

We honor the service of our military men and women and are grateful for the sacrifices that they and their families make to protect the freedoms and security that we enjoy. To currently-serving military and their dependents, veterans, and those who would like to become officers in the U. S. Army, we want to make a quality, affordable education available.

We encourage you to browse our website to learn about the programs at Georgia Regents University, the thousands of dollars available through the Army ROTC program, and other financial aid that may be available to you. If you need assistance, please contact the Office of Military & Veterans Service,Admissions Office, Professional and Community Education, Veterans Affairs, or our Department of Military Science (ROTC).

Visit with us in the offices below to learn more about what Georgia Regents University has to offer. Our historic Summerville campus on Walton Way was once the site of a U. S. Army Arsenal, established in 1826. The campus maintains its military origins, including the original 1827-29 buildings and enclosed quadrangle, a Civil War cannon, a military cemetery, and a history museum chronicling our days as an arsenal. Get to know Georgia Regents University. You’ll find a university committed to serving the needs of our military.

In a continuing effort to support the military, the Georgia Board of Regents passed a resolution on April 20, 2012 to waive the $262.00 institutional fees for those active duty military students on the Summerville Campus and the $450.00 institutional fees for those active duty military students on the Health Science Campus of University System of Georgia Institutions.

Active Service Member Degree Residency Requirements

Georgia Regents University limits academic residency to no more than twenty-five percent of the degree requirements for all degrees for active-duty service members. Academic residency can be completed at any time while active duty service members are enrolled. Reservists and National Guardsmen on active duty are covered in the same manner.
