GRU to host Senate committee meeting on women’s health
Event: Cancer and osteoporosis are among the women’s health topics to be discussed at the Georgia Senate Women’s Adequate Healthcare Study Committee meeting being held at Georgia Regents University.
Background: The Senate Women’s Adequate Healthcare Study Committee was created by Georgia’s General Assembly to study the current condition of women’s healthcare throughout the state. Among the experts speaking at the meeting will be Dr. Lucy Marion, GRU College of Nursing Dean; Dr. Sharad Ghamande, Gynecologic Oncologist at the GRU Cancer Center; and Dr. Carlos Isles, professor in the GRU Department of Neuroscience and Regenerative Medicine.
