Director of Managed Care, Payer Relations and Business Operations
Georgia Regents Medical Associates, the physician faculty practice plan at Georgia Regents University is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic person to: Oversee and facilitate development, negotiation and administration of all payer contracted arrangements. Responsible for the analysis, evaluation, and negotiations of GRMA’s related payer contracts and carrier arrangements. Provide strategic leadership, financial and administrative oversight of contracting with commercial payers and other entities. Develop a portfolio of participating network contracts to enhance revenue and patient access. Supervise provider enrollment staff and serve as liaison between across the revenue cycle management departments to coordinate effective information flow related to payer contracts and reimbursement.
Bachelor’s degree in Health Care or Business Administration, or related field or combination of education and experience in physician group practice administration, billing, reimbursement, and/or managed care. MHA or MBA preferred, but not required. Minimum of seven years management experience in health care, physician group practice or managed care industry; significant knowledge of contractual, administrative, health insurance and operational issues related to payers and networks, physician groups, hospitals and health insurance benefit plan designs.
