Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems
The Management Information Systems (MIS) curriculum prepares students for a future as information systems professionals, innovators, technical leaders, and managers. The program is interdisciplinary in nature with specialized training in information systems, information management, and information technology so graduates can assume managerial positions and provide leadership in information systems innovation.
What Can I Do With A Degree In Management Information Systems?
The job market for MIS graduates is diverse and growing at a steady rate. Graduate may directly enter the information systems function and become information systems specialists that serve as a liaison between information systems and other functional areas within an organization. Employment opportunities exist within hardware vendors, software vendors, consulting firms, governmental agencies and both corporate and non-profit organizations. Typical entry-level positions include consultant, systems analyst, and information analyst.

All aspiring undergraduate MIS students entering Georgia Regents University are admitted as Pre-MIS majors until they meet the pre-requisites to gain admittance into the Hull College of Business.
Pre-MIS majors will need to satisfy the following requirements for entry into the Hull College of Business: (1) completion of at least 45 semester hours; and (2) completion of the following courses with an overall GPA of 2.5 or above in these seven courses: ENGL 1101, ENGL 1102, MATH 1111, MATH 2210, ACCT 2101, ECON 2106 (or ECON 2105) and CSCI 1301. Students may retake any of these courses and only the highest grade in the course will count toward the minimum required GPA.
Students transferring into the Hull College of Business as Pre-MIS majors are only allowed to transfer up to three Junior/Senior Common Courses and no more than two of the Major Emphasis courses as approved by the College.
