Georgia Regents University Summerville and Health Sciences Campuses (specifically the libraries and JSAC) will resume regular weekend operating hours on Sunday, Feb. 16 in preparation for normal student activities and classes on Monday, Feb. 17.

The Urban Bush Women performance scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 15 at 7:30 PM at the GRU Augusta Maxwell Theatre on the Summerville Campus, will take place as scheduled.

The Jaguars’ Peach Belt Conference basketball doubleheader with Columbus State (originally scheduled for Thursday) will take place on Sunday, Feb. 16 at 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. in Christenberry Fieldhouse on the Forest Hills Campus.

International and Postdoctoral Services Office

The International and Postdoctoral Services Office (IPSO) advances the mission of Georgia Regents University by supporting the GRU commitment to diversity and inclusion as outlined in Transition Forward: Strategic Priority 6. 

IPSO is a service and compliance unit tasked to understand and apply laws to facilitate the employment of international personnel, the enrollment of international students, and the hosting of international visitors to further the strategic goals of GRU while minimizing financial burden and institutional risk.

IPSO is responsible for providing information and assistance to departments, scholar (employees and visitors) and students about sponsored/hosted non-immigrant visa status options (H-1B, TN, E-3, 0-1. F-1, AND J-1), recruiting international faculty, and sponsoring current personnel for permanent residency (EB-1b and EB-2a)

IPSO also acts as a resource to enhance and support the work experiences of all postdoctoral appointees and their faculty mentors with regards to postdoc appointment and salary standards

To support GRU departments and faculty in attracting and retaining high-caliber international scholars and students.

To support GRU departments and faculty in the appointment of postdoctoral fellows who support the research growth of GRU. 

Our Goals

To provide GRU with an efficient and effective mechanism to recruit and retain international scholars and students by facilitating the visa status sponsorship and hosting processes through the various federal government agencies that regulate the entry of international scholars and students 

To develop policies and practices which systematically support the efficient appointment of postdoctoral fellows at GRU.
