Cutting Edge Research

The GRU Cancer Center, part of the University System of Georgia, is designated as a Center of Excellence by the Georgia Cancer Coalition. The center is a highly collaborative setting, the research home of several distinguished and renowned cancer investigators whose contributions have advanced knowledge in such areas as developmental therapeutics, immunotherapy, cancer biology, genomics, prevention and medical education.

Researchers on staff at the GRU Cancer Center hold joint faculty positions at the GRU Medical College of Georgia, obtain extramural funding to pursue their research, publish in peer-reviewed journals and participate in mentoring relationships.
