Master of Physician Assistant Program
Physician Assistants perform many clinical functions, allowing the physicians and other health professionals they work with more time for duties requiring their particular knowledge and skill. PAs may specialize in virtually any health care field.
In most clinical settings, physician assistants have their own patient load. They
obtain medical histories, perform physical examinations, order and interpret laboratory
results, write prescriptions, and assess and treat common illnesses. They also provide
services such as disease prevention information, health promotion activities, counseling,
and patient education.
